Stations’ Meat Goats
The hardy Australian Rangeland Goat and the farmed South African Boer
Goat have been used as base stock to produce a composite Australian Meat
Goat. This animal has been shown to yield a heavier meat carcase within
a twelve month period.

Note
the mixed heritage of Rangeland and Boer goat characteristics in the flock.
To preserve and protect the stock the boundary fences are constructed
from hinge-joint(mesh) wire. Many internal fences are also hinge-joint.
With low stocking rates, producing low impact
grazing, it was felt that in this way:
the ecological system
would be sustained
range land ground cover
would be improved and
the habitats of all living
creatures on the land would be enhanced.
